I never considered myself a creative person when I was young. However, I found that when I want to feel the most connected to myself, finding that creative side is how to do it. I was inspired in my 20's by my soul sister, Laura, who was an amazing oil painter. She would put a paint brush in my hand and just tell me to feel the colors. I found it difficult to let go at first, but with her help, I found a part of me that I never knew existed. In July of 2024, I lost my soul sister suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving me completely devastated. Since then, being creative is the way I stay connected to her. I've now decided to share my creations and that part of me.
When I feel the need to get creative, I never know where the process will take me. I like to surrender to the flow and let the design slowly develop. I'm always surprised (and delighted) with the final result!
The things I make are inspired my two big loves in life....Mother Nature (she is both powerful and beautiful) and Live Music (it's all about the JAM)!
